Cooking with Carameldivaa01
The ambience was nice but the area where we were smelled like old dirty dish rugs or something. The drinks were good. We ordered the lasagna. While I had only a couple of bites I did notice that the lasagna was burnt underneath...not tasty. The Cesar Salad was just OK. The wait staff and hosts (especially Ariel) was AMAZING, however, for the food, I will not return. It was our first time...which was explained so you would think they wouldn't serve burnt food period but especially not to first time customers.

This place has delicious Americanized Italian food and they serve large portions. I've been calorie counting lately and so I had to exercise portion control when I came here. One dinner entree can have around 1200 calories! So if you're trying to be healthy, just be aware of that. But if you just want some Italian comfort food and don't mind slipping into a food coma afterwards, come here and get their pasta dishes. I had the Bluepoint Mussels and Shrimp Pasta, which was very delicious! The mussels were pretty amazing. I also shared my friend's Spicy Chicken and Shrimp Pasta. It was pretty flavorful but I wouldn't exactly say it was spicy. They also have a decadent chocolate cake with fudge and toffee bits that goes great with coffee. Finally their complementary bread is wonderful. It's very doughy, which some people don't like. But I'm a huge fan. The service was super-friendly and prompt. Overall, a great vibe and a delicious purveyor of satisfying Americanized-Italian food. Just be aware of how much you eat here if you're trying to be healthy.

Nick was our waiter today and his service was excellent. I was happy to see that Carino's went back to a previous delicious menu that included Chicken Marsala. Other orders in our group were Spaghetti and meatballs and the spicy Shrimp and Chicken garlic dinner. We got there before the Church crowd so it was very quiet. I receive their text messages of deals so we took advantage of their buy 2 entrees and get 2 free entrees...sweet deal!!! Our thoughts go out to all the surviving family members of all our service men and women on Memorial Day.

The food is decent. Service is pretty good. Pricey for what it is. My girl and I went and spotted the dinner for 2 and saw 19.99, so I'm like hey that's a great deal. Just before I order it, I see it says 19.99 PER PERSON in fine print. This doesn't make sense to me, why not price it at 40 bucks? It's still a good deal, but you really only save a couple bucks depending on the price of desert, WHICH IS NOT ON THE MENU. I can't get with that. Everything else is priced, but apparently desert is either too expensive or they expect people to order without looking at the price And I get that the above makes me sound like a cheapskate, but no, I am more than fine to pay for dinner, I just want transparency and, having been raised in the restaurant industry, I can tell you when a place is overpriced, which they are.
